The Making of a Print

One of the things I love most about designing clothing is designing PRINTS....oh the possibilities!
And I thought you'd get a kick out of where a print might come from. As a designer, I get much of my inspiration from architecture. For our Summer Collection, we have a print called Trellis.

Walking home from our NYC store last spring, I came across this metal gate in front of a store on Lexington in the 70's.
Pretty right? Well then the creative juices started flowing.
And I put the gate into photoshop



Turned it sideways and added some balls

Then reversed the background

And added come CKB initials, which are hidden in ALL of our prints

And ta da!
